Week 3 Top Performers: Burke, Bentley, Hatar, Williams, Gustafson

MUNICH (Germany) - The third week of EuroLeague Women action witnessed some excellent displays and it was Kennedy Burke of Spar Girona who wrote the headlines as she led her team past Fenerbahce Safiport.

The guard was far too hot to handle for the Fenerbahce defense as she took Spar Girona to a 2-1 record with a fabulous 28 points in a memorable 71-58 victory. Burke also had 7 rebounds and 3 steals in an excellent all-around show that harvested an efficiency of 33.

In the same game, Elizabeth Williams had to deal with the disappointment of a defeat, but the strength of the Fenerbahce Safiport center still shone through. She claimed 15 points and 15 rebounds, as well as a brilliant 5 blocks and 4 assists.

Alex Bentley was a rare off-season addition to the roster for defending champions UMMC Ekaterinburg and she has already evidenced her value with some impressive displays. Her latest came as she went to work in a commanding 92-73 victory at BLMA. The guard shot 82 percent from the floor en-route to 20 points and handed out 8 assists.

Bernadett Hatar is bringing the noise in a big way this season at Sopron Basket and was instrumental in her team moving to 3-0 off the back of a 67-58 win against Beretta Famila Schio. The center was tough to contain for the opposing defense as she amassed 25 points and 12 rebounds.

Finally, Megan Gustafson has had a productive start to her career in the competition, even if she is yet to taste victory with VBW Arka Gdynia. The forward was a force for her team against Galatasaray but couldn't prevent a 71-60 defeat, despite 26 points and 10 rebounds.
