Jones, UMMC show class at USK Praha; road wins for MBA Moscow and TTT Riga

MUNICH (Germany) - A super show from Jonquel Jones helped UMMC Ekaterinburg maintain their unbeaten Regular Season run while MBA Moscow and TTT Riga also won on their travels on Wednesday night.

They may now be 11-0, but UMMC Ekaterinburg didn't have it all their own way at their nearest Group A rivals. They trailed ZVVZ USK Praha for much of the opening 15 minutes, but a blistering 21-6 run to finish the first half changed the momentum completely and paved the way for the Russian side's 90-77 triumph.

Jones was the standout performer for UMMC and finished with a deadly 20 points, as well as completing a double-double with 11 rebounds. An additional 5 assists, 4 steals and 4 blocks helped her to harvest a mammoth performance efficiency valuation of 38.

Frontcourt partner Brittney Griner also caught fire and dropped 25 points for UMMC, with Brionna Jones scoring 19 points in a losing effort, as Praha dropped to 8-3.

KSC Szekszard thought they might finally get that elusive first ever Regular Season win and had been well placed against MBA Moscow when leading by 7 points at one stage. However, MBA turned up the dial and an excellent second half resulted in the visitors taking a 73-64 victory, which was their third of their rookie campaign.

It was a typical team effort from the all-Russian roster of MBA Moscow, with Anastasia Logunova registering an all-action 13 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals, while Zhosselina Maiga top-scored with 14 points. The loss was hard to bear for Slovenian shooting ace Zala Friskovec who responded with a smart 18 points in defeat.

TTT Riga meanwhile collected a fabulous 62-54 win at Umana Reyer as they improved their record of an already impressive season to 5-6.

The visitors' team defense played a huge part in getting one of their most eye-catching results, so much so that they restricted their opponents to just 8 points during the last quarter. Jasmine Thomas also showed out with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals.
