Locations of EuroLeague Women January 2021 Regular Season hubs announced

MUNICH (Germany) - The locations for the upcoming EuroLeague Women Regular Season hubs have been confirmed, with clubs set to gather in Czech Republic, France, Italy and Spain for the January 18-25, 2021 tournaments.

Following extensive consultations with the participating clubs and the respective National Federations, Perfumerias Avenida (Salamanca, Spain), ZVVZ USK Praha (Prague, Czech Republic), Beretta Famila Schio (Schio, Italy) and Bourges Basket (Bourges, France) were confirmed as the hosts of the tournaments of their respective groups.

Due to the non-participation of Galatasaray and Izmit Belediyespor in the first hubs, which took place from December 1-4, 2020, a number of Regular Season fixtures have been rescheduled.

As agreed by the clubs and the National Federations involved, FIBA Regional Office Europe has decided on new dates for the games between Sopron Basket and Galatasaray:

  • Sopron Basket vs Galatasaray to be played on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in Sopron, Hungary.
  • Galatasaray vs Sopron Basket to be moved forward from the Regular Season Hub 2 and played on Thursday, December 17, 2020 in Sopron Hungary.

The other postponed Group D games will be played during the upcoming Regular Season Hub 2, with the exact schedule of games to be approved in the coming days.

In Group A, the postponed Regular Season Hub 1 game between Perfumerias Avenida and Izmit Belediyespor has been rescheduled for Monday, January 25, 2021.

The decision on the rescheduling of the remaining games of Izmit Belediyespor will be taken and communicated at a later stage.

FIBA will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation in Europe on a daily basis and communicate further updates regarding EuroLeague Women when necessary.
