LDLC ASVEL Feminin, Fenerbahce Oznur Kablo and Perfumerias Avenida reach the Quarter-Finals

MUNICH (Germany) - There was joy on Thursday night for LDLC Asvel Feminin, Fenerbahce Oznur Kablo and Perfumerias Avenida as the trio booked their places in the EuroLeague Women Quarter-Finals.

They joined Sopron Basket and UMMC Ekaterinburg, who had already booked their respective spots, meaning there will be three tickets left up for grabs in the remaining handful of games still to be played.

LDLC ASVEL Feminin completed a dynamic 85-74 success against ZVVZ USK Praha in Group C to end the post-season prospects of their rivals and extract revenge for a one-point loss in the first hub last December.

French national team center Helena Ciak did the business in the paint for Lyon with 15 points and 6 rebounds, while there was an important cameo from Sara Chevaugeon. The guard scored 13 points in just 11 minutes coming off the bench.

The win by Lyon also handed a ticket to Fenerbahce Oznur Kablo, who had earlier overwhelmed VBW Arka Gdynia 88-57, with another razor sharp team effort as Kia Vaughn stood out in the paint with 19 points and 8 boards.

Cecilia Zandalasini also stepped up again with an efficient 16-point cameo as the Istanbul side improved their season record to 5-1.

Perfumerias Avenida reached the Play-Offs for the first time since 2017 as they shut down Nadezhda 93-38. Moving to an unbeaten 4-0 after another comprehensive victory, the Spanish club look capable of making a run towards the Final Four.

Especially with an in-form player like  Katie Lou Samuelson on board, with the American excellent once again as she claimed 25 points and 5 rebounds.

Meanwhile, it was a case of better late than never for Arike Ogunbowale and Dynamo Kursk in Group A. They had trailed Izmit Belediyespor heading towards the stretch, with their key performer a stone cold 0-7. But, their star guard came alive during crunch time with 13 points in the closing minutes to wrap up a precious 65-61 win.

Stephanie Mavunga was huge on the glass with 18 rebounds as Kursk moved to 2-2, while Erica Wheeler fired 23 points in defeat for Izmit, who are still searching for a first win.

It's going to be a thrilling last day match-up between Spar Girona and Beretta Famila Schio in Group C after the former couldn't quite create the upset they needed against UMMC Ekaterinburg to join them in the Quarter-Finals. Girona pushed the Russian juggernauts hard, eventually going down 90-83 in an entertaining contest.

Emma Meesseman impressed in victory with 22 points and 8 rebounds, with Courtney Vandersloot also dishing out 11 dimes. Giedre Labuckiene had a perfect shooting night for Girona in getting her 14 points, while Julia Reisingerova top scored with 16 points.

Beretta Famila Schio kept their hopes of advancing alive as they picked up after a sluggish start to move past TTT Riga 78-68. An all-action line of 17 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals from Canadian Natalie Achonwa paced the victory for the Italians.

In Group D, Galatasaray had hoped to progress with a third straight win, but were undone 87-80 by Bourges Basket in a tense and gripping encounter. The French side finally got off the mark with a much needed first victory to throw themselves a lifeline. Center Isabelle Yacoubou did the main damage with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
