Dynamo Kursk collect the last remaining ticket to the Quarter-Finals

KURSK (Russia) - Dynamo Kursk claimed the victory they needed against Izmit Belediyespor on Thursday to advance to the EuroLeague Women Quarter-Finals.

Despite a slow start, the Russian side shifted up the gears to eventually soar to an 84-46 success and seal second place in Group A, which sets up a Quarter-Final clash against domestic rivals UMMC Ekaterinburg.

Dynamo finished the Regular Season with a 3-3 record and progressed to the Play-Offs after winning the head-to-head tie-breaker against domestic rivals Nadezhda.

Any hopes Izmit had of taking a surprise victory were extinguished during the third quarter when they were locked down and only managed 6 points during the period.

Belarus national team guard Alex Bentley impressed for Dynamo Kursk with a strong shooting performance that delivered 21 points, while also adding 5 assists and 4 rebounds. There were also double-digit scoring returns for Arike Ogunbowale, Raisa Musina and Yulia Kozik.

Clarissa Dos Santos dropped a massive 23 points and 14 boards in defeat as Izmit Belediyespor disappointingly signed off their first ever Regular Season campaign without a win to their name.
