Araujo collects Top Performer accolade for Gameday 4

MUNICH (Germany) - Spanish forward Maria Araujo produced one of the best performances of her career to take Top Performer honors for Gameday 4 and propel Spar Girona closer to the Quarter-Finals.

Araujo lit it up in a big way against TTT Riga as Girona ran out 82-52 winners to move to 3-1 off the back of her 19-point and 12-rebound double-double. She held the hot hand on the floor and went 7-of-9, as well as grabbing two steals in the victory.

Kayla McBride has been in form all season and the tournament's second leading scorer picked up from where she left off in the first hub with another dazzling show for Fenerbahce Oznur Kablo. The guard caught fire with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the 99-70 win against ZVVZ USK Praha.

She is joined in the lineup by Fenerbahce colleague Alina Iagupova who belatedly accepted her 2019-20 MVP award and went on to remind everyone of her qualities with a typical influential display. She torched Praha with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists.

Perfumerias Avenida are on the brink of qualification to the Quarter-Finals as they moved to 3-0 with a vibrant 101-80 success against Izmit Belediyespor. It was Katie Lou Samuelson who shone most brightly with a super 29 points and 5 rebounds, shooting 63 percent from the field.

Sopron Basket are already in the last eight of the tournament and will have one eye firmly on the Final Four with talent like Jelena Brooks on their roster. The Serbian forward was at the heart of their 74-67 win against Bourges Basket on Monday with 19 points from 70 percent shooting, as well as 8 rebounds and two assists.
