Third time lucky for Bourges, BLMA take down Kursk and a record low for Cukurova

MUNICH (Germany) - It was an intriguing Week 3 as Bourges Basket got a win on the board at the third attempt, BLMA made people sit up and take notice, while Gelecek Koleji Cukurova recorded an unwanted low point.

Bourges leaned on an excellent performance from young Alexia Chartereau to get them off the mark as she inspired their 70-55 success at TTT Riga.

The forward eventually finished with 17 points and 17 boards as the French side got the victory they craved on the board.

BLMA are on a roll and made it a good night for French basketball as they moved to 2-1 by giving Dynamo Kursk their first taste of defeat this season.

As usual, it was the frontcourt brilliance of Stephanie Mavunga that was pivotal as she completed a sensational double-double of 25 points and 19 rebounds in a 76-64 victory.

ZVVZ USK Praha maintained their perfect start to the season after throwing a defensive blanket over Gelecek Koleji Cukurova and suffcoating them 82-28 to move to 3-0.

A scorching first quarter and another classy showing of 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists from Alyssa Thomas paved the way for a victory that will be remembered most for the visitors setting a record low after not breaking 30 points in the contest.

Meanwhile Fenerbahce fans are enjoying the combination of Alina Iagupova and Cecilia Zandalsini. While the Turkish giants were beaten last week in Sopron, the duo were on fire again on home soil as Fenerbahce shifted up a gear to beat Arka Gdynia 68-48.

Iagupova netted 24 points and completed a double-double with 10 rebounds, while Zandalasini weighed in with 20 points in a similarly sharp shooting effort.

Maria Vadeeva is another player in good form right now and she was again the main provider for UMMC Ekaterinburg with 21 points via a perfect 7-of-7 from the floor, as well as grabbing 9 rebounds in an 86-61 win at Reyer Venezia.
