MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) - Both UMMC Ekaterinburg and Dynamo Kursk secured their respective spots in the post-season after getting the wins they needed to move to a flawless 10-0.
The reigning champions were far too strong for domestic rivals Nadezhda at the DIVS Arena as Maria Vadeeva impressed for UMMC with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 3 steals in a 77-52 victory. And, head coach Miguel Mendez expressed how his team are benefiting from a family vibe - both on and off the court.
He revealed: "We are happy to give our fans an opportunity to see dynamic basketball and us sharing the ball well. For me it is very important, we are the same way as we are as a family off the court - we have great relations.
"We are not only about the players, but also the staff and people who are working with us. It is very important for me to be a family when we are playing and to play like a team. To share the ball, look for opportunities for all the players, and to work with everybody in the defense," concluded Mendez.
