Fenerbahce within touching distance of Play-Offs

ANTAKYA (Turkey) - Fenerbahce are on the brink of securing a place in the EuroLeague Women Play-Offs after they rode their way to a powerful 78-50 success at Hatay.

Hitting back after their home loss to Dynamo Kursk, Fenerbahce swept aside their fellow Turkish competitors with ease.

A quick-fire start paved the way for victory in an eye-catching team effort, which witnessed no fewer than five players logging double-digit scoring returns.

Forward Kiah Stokes was one rebound short of a double-double after netting 14 points, while Kelsey Plum top scored with 15.

Gizem Basaran replied with 13 points and 13 rebounds for Hatay, who drop to  5-7.

"It is always difficult to play against Hatay, even if they have a short roster. But we need to keep winning to reach our goal, making the Quarter Finals," commented Fenerbahce playcaller, Valerie Garnier.

"We made some changes in our roster, as I want to play with different players. I'm very happy for their performance as well."
