SCHIO (EuroLeague Women) - Newly installed UMMC play-caller Miguel Mendez got off to a winning start on his re-entry to EuroLeague Women after masterminding a 68-55 road win at former club Famila Schio.

Mendez was also able to make his return to the competition alongside Maya Moore, with the recent UMMC recruit back on the EuroLeague Women trail for the first time in almost six years.

She made a splash on her debut for Ekaterinburg, starting the game and proceeding to rack up a team-high 15 points, as well as 8 rebounds. Her contribution came alongside an energetic effort from Alba Torrens who accrued an all-action 12 points, 7 boards, 4 assists and 2 steals.

Schio started well, but after falling behind by double digits in the second quarter, they never recovered as UMMC eased to victory and a 10-3 record. The Italians are now 7-6 but can still make the Quarter-Finals, with their main rivals for the spot being Perfumerias Avenida, who Schio face next week.
