MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) - Valeriane Ayayi has produced one of her best games in a Bourges vest to assure victory for her French team and earn Top Peformer honors in the process.
The French small forward came up with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists - comfortably her best return in EuroLeague Women this season - as the 2016 EuroCup Women champions came back from 14 points down to defeat the visiting Sopron Basket 76-65.
Joining her in the Top Performers team is national teammate Olivia Epoupa. The diminutive guard continued her string of strong performances for Galatasaray, coming up with 18 points and 12 rebounds to give the Turkish team a 69-64 win over her former employees, ESBVA-LM.
Anastasiya Shilova was on fire from downtown for Nadezhda, knocking down 8-of-12 three-pointers to finish the night with 26 points. However, despite the heroics from the shooting guard, defeat was unavoidable for the Russian side against the visiting Yakin Dogu Universitesi, losing 81-76.
Another to produce an impressive performance, only to taste defeat in a close-fought manner was Dewanna Bonner. The ZVVZ USK Praha forward came up with a 22-point, 15-rebound double-double but the Czech outfit ultimately fell, 68-67 to Castors Braine.
Finally, rounding out this week's team is former Belarus international Anastasiya Verameyenka. Playing for Fenerbahce, the power forward/center finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds as the Istanbul outfit defeated Wisla CANPACK 87-78.
