Quarter-Finals success for Yakin Dogu, Fenerbahce and Kursk as Moore erupts for UMMC
MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) - Maya Moore made a statement of intent after pouring in a majestic 29 points for UMMC as they collected a scorching success against Praha in the first game of the Quarter-Finals.
Only recently back in the competition after an absence of almost six years, Moore looks to be making up for lost time as she helped Ekaterinburg breeze past their visitors 97-70.

UMMC proved too good for Praha all over the floor, stuffing the highlights reel at every opportunity. The victory was also welcomed by Moore who is looking forward to the second matchup in the Czech capital next week, claiming following the game, "We got a really hot start offensively. We moved the ball well and showed a great team game. Defensively we had a lot of good moments trying to make it hard for them to score.
"I am excited about how we played, but I am also excited to play even better when we play them again in Prague."
Perhaps the biggest winners of the day were Fenerbahce, since they were the only side to take a road victory - even if it was a defensively dominated 55-60 win at Sopron Basket.

Kia Vaughn and Giorgia Sottana were the main contributors, with the former posting a 10-point and 10-rebound double-double, while Sottana finished with an eye-catching 18 points.
Dynamo Kursk won 73-61 at home to Schio to extend their unbeaten record under Lucas Mondelo, although the champions weren't at their free-flowing best.

They were held to their lowest score on their home floor all season. Epiphanny Prince was the pick of the crop with 17 points.
Finally, Yakin Dogu Universitesi needed a 17-2 burst in the second-half to shrug off a pesky Bourges Basket who had threatened an upset for much of the first 30 minutes.
