Six more clubs extend their perfect season records

MUNICH (Germany) - No fewer than six clubs protected their proud unbeaten season records on Thursday night, with SL Benfica, Umana Reyer Venezia, BLMA, ACS Sepsi-SIC, NKA Universitas PEAC and InvestInTheWest ENEA Gorzow all 3-0.

PEAC are still rolling strong and unbeaten at the top of Group B after beating Hatay BB Spor 64-56. Once again, Cassidie Burdick shone brightly with 14 points and 12 rebounds while Sierra Calhoun went to some serious work with 23 points. Markeisha Gatling replied with 17 points and 10 boards for Hatay.

Gorzow powered their way to a third win in as many games as they blew away Slavia Banska Bystrica 86-52 in Group C.  Australian forward Alanna Smith stood out again with 24 points, while Lindsay Allen handed out 10 assists to go with 11 points.

Sepsi-SIC sit proudly at the summit of Group E after they rode their way past Bursa Uludag Basketbol 89-72. Bulgarian standout Borislava Hristova had 21 points,  Britney Jones netted 23 along with 7 assists and Bethy Mununga claimed a 14 point and 12 rebound double-double.

In Group G,  SL Benfica bounced past T71 Diddeleng 84-69 as they capitalized on a quick-fire start and also 11 points and a stellar 12 assists from Joana Soeiro.

Reyer showed their teeth again by cruising past Rutronik Stars Keltern 87-53 in Group H as Awak Kuier posted her best of the season. The Finnish star had 14 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks for the tournament frontrunners who stay unebeaten.

BLMA had too much for IDK Euskotren in Group K as they took an 88-74 win to move to 3-0, with Marieme Badiane and Kyara Linskens sharing 32 points, while Julie Vanloo scored 13 points and handed out 7 assists. 

Elsewhere, Elitzur Landco Ramla celebrated taking a one-sided 101-73 Group B triumph at Beroe behind USA star Shakira Austin harvesting 25 points and 10 rebounds, with Tyrone Mosby also influential after an all-action 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists

Polskie Przetwory Bydgoszcz completed their most impressive win so far with an 80-66 Group D stroll against OGM Ormanspor. Steph Kostowicz garnered 18 points and 9 rebounds with teammate Sparkle Taylor even more impactful with 18 points, 14 boards and 7 assists.

A one-two punch from Courtney Hurt and Teja Gorsic delivered Elitzur Holon a 74-59 Group E win against Nesibe Aydin. The former claimed 21 points and 11 boards, with Slovenian national team forward Gorsic impressing with 19 points. 

Botas Spor enjoyed a 77-66 Group F win at Maccabi Bnot Ashdod after Nigerian frontcourt powerhouse Victoria Macaulay coralled 25 points and 12 rebounds. There was also 15 points, 7 assists and 6 boards from Sevgi Uzun.

 
Kibirkstis now have the same 2-1 record as Botas and also Uni Gyor after they beat the latter 81-76 in Lithuania. It was a tense ending but they got over the line thank mainly to some fine three-point shooting from Rachel Theriot who harvested 22 points and  a majestic 21 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals from Laura Juskaite. Aaryn Ellenberg-Wiley dropped 30 points in defeat.

BCF Elfic Fribourg improved to 2-1 after they took a 65-52 home floor victory against Basket Namur Capitale that was inspired by 24 points and 9 rebounds from the in-form Courtney Range. 

AZS UMCS Lublin inflicted heartache on Ramat Hasharon as they won 69-66 in Israel to move to 2-1 in Group A. Natasha Mack was a handful again with 19 points and 10 boards, with the defeat tough to take for Alisia Jenkins who had 24 points and 11 rebounds for Hasharon.
