Top Performer crown for Brewer after fantastic first-leg show

MUNICH (Germany) - Brittany Brewer has snapped up the accolade of Top Performer for the first leg of the EuroCup Women Qualifiers after producing a stellar display with Liege Panthers.

The forward caught fire in her team's dominant 98-57 win at Ulriken Eagles and became the first player of the new campaign to hit the efficiency milestone of 40. That was facilitated by her eye-poppin double-double of 27 points and 17 rebounds.

Maggie Lucas was the difference-maker for the debuting Italian side Banco Sardegna Sassari who took down Grengewald of Luxembourg 85-67. The guard recorded the highest individual score of the round with a superb points tally of 38, as well as adding 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.

Julie Wojta racked up 26 points for Tarbes GB as they eased past House of Talents Spurs 96-41 on the road, with the swingman converting an eye-catching 75 percent from the field. She also harvested 5 steals, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

Frontcourt duo Laura Miskiene and Chelsea Nelson were inseparable in their efficiency scores as they led their respective clubs to first leg wins. The former guided Polskieprzetwory Bydgoszcz past Eleftheria Moschatou 57-48 with an 18-point and 13-rebound double-double, shooting 8 of 11 from the field.

Meanwhile Nelson was pivotal in NKA Universitas PEAC beating Niki Lefkadas 80-63. The forward finished the contest with an all-action 18 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Both Miskiene and Nelson registered an efficiency rating of 29.
