MUNICH (Germany) - A3 Basket Umea will not participate in the EuroCup Women Regular Season, taking place from January 19-22, 2021 in hubs around Europe.

FIBA Regional Office Europe was informed by the club about critical COVID-19-related disruptions to their preparations, which will prevent the team from travelling and taking part in the competition.

A3 Basket Umea were set to compete against Aluinvent DVTK Miskolc, Orman Genclik and Ramla in the Group B tournament in Ankara, Turkey.

As per the decision of the Board of FIBA Europe regarding EuroCup Women hubs, all games of A3 Basket Umea will be considered as forfeited.

All other games in the group remain as scheduled.

FIBA Regional Office Europe will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation in Europe on a daily basis and communicate further updates regarding EuroCup Women when necessary.
