Forward duo Kristine Vitola and Laura Gil paced the 77-65 victory which was based on the visitors dominance on the glass. Gil had an all-action 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals, while Vitola recorded a double-double of 14 points and 12 boards.

Carolo Basket may only have a slender lead after squeezing past CCC Polkowice 84-82 but are likely to be pleased not to have to make up any deficit on their home court next week. Then again, they could also be ruing the fact that they allowed Polkowice to capture some previous momentum as the hosts scored 10 of the last 12 points in the contest.

Nigerian powerhouse Evelyn Akhator was largely unstoppable and led Carolo Basket to the triumph with a stellar contribution of 23 points and 9 rebounds.
