MBA Moscow, Sparta&K and Basket Hema SKW take tickets to next phase

MUNICH (Germany) - A trio of clubs  extended their campaigns beyond the Regular Season on Thursday night, with MBA Moscow, Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje and Basket Hema SKW all progressing.

MBA Moscow were the only club who got the victory and it was an impressive one as they strode past Besiktas TRC Insaat 97-76 in Group B thanks mainly to a true group effort, with half of the playing roster recording double-digit scores. Elizaveta Komarova impressed with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists.

The victory was cheered by local rivals Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje, who advanced due to the success of their fellow Russians and off the back of their big win against Prishtina 24 hours earlier.

Meanwhile Belgian outfit Basket Hema SKW advanced from Group G, even going down 74-68 at Rutronik Stars Keltern, as the victors unable to secure the head-to-head after a 10-point loss in the first meeting.  SKW had to lean on a spectacular 25 rebounds from teenage star Billie Massey to ensure they did not lose by a bigger margin.

Elsewhere, a number of groups will go down to the last week of Regular Season action, including Group A, who may even see a four-way tie after. KP Brno won 80-75 at Botas as Gabrielle Green was the focal point with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals.


There was also an excellent 95-88 road win for Ramla at InvestInTheWest Enea Gorzow as Tiffany Mitchell showed out with 30 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists, while Brittany Boyd made some big shots too.

Group C also still has both top spots to be won after Bellona Kayseri Basketbol squeezed out an 83-80 win at A3 Basket Umea having prospered from Kennedy Valentine Burke who added 23 points, 10 rebounds and 6 steals. 

Elsewhere, VBW CEKK Cegled kept their hopes alive in Group G by beating Namur 69-64 and likewise BCF Elfic Fribourg did the same in Group J by scraping past Voo Liege Panthers 74-73.


Lulea BK got their first win of the season against the previously unbeaten Artego Bydgoszcz, with Natisha Hiedeman unstoppable in an 82-78 victory with 31 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists.

It was also hard fought outing for the already qualified Hatay, who claimed a nerve-wracking 80-79 triumph against MBK Ruzomberok, while Perfumerias Avenida remained flawless by outgunning Olivas FC 92-49
