MUNICH (EuroCup Women) - Besiktas have endured a bumpy ride so far in EuroCup Women, but they certainly hit the peak of a roller-coaster campaign by taking down Wisla CANPACK Krakow in style.

They blew away their opponents 100-71 as they proved too hot to handle for the visiting defense. Kelsey Mitchell erupted for 28 points, while Evelyn Akhator didn't miss all night on her way to 18 points for a perfect 8-of-8 shooting effort.

Perhaps the most impressive win on Thursday evening came courtesy of Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje who left Polish soil with a smile after pipping Artego Bydgoszcz 65-66 in a thriller. Daria Kolosovskaia did the business with 21 points for the visitors.

"We are very satisfied with the win," enthused Sparta&K head coach, Sergei Danilin.

"I have real reasons to be proud of my players. Two of them, the two former Artego Bydgoszcz girls (Jennifer O'Neill and Denesha Stallworth) are a very important part of our team.

"But it was team work and the words of appreciation should go to all my players," insisted the playcaller.

There was also an eye-catching win for Enisey as they pushed out Mersin 99-84 in a game that also witnessed an epic input from Stephanie Mavunga, who posted a staggering double-double of 32 points and 23 rebounds.

Jewell Loyd showed why she was a recent FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup winner by netting 25 points for Botas Spor as they waltzed past Beroe 51-98 in Bulgaria.

Galatasaray are back on track after beating MBA Moscow on the road 67-89 as they prospered from 21 points, 9 boards and 4 assists from Sinem Atas, as well as 19 points and 8 assists from Moriah Jefferson.

Only a week after Inventa Kursk sealed their first ever success in the competition, they were at it again - this time beating Tsmoki-Minsk 63-46. Lyon had to work hard to outpace Rutronik Stars Keltern and they eventually prevailed 68-79 thanks mainly to 27 points from Alysha Clark.

Finally, Swedish outfit Sodertalje are still searching for their first win after going down 57-84 to the visiting Gorzow.
