    Besiktas stunned by Tsmoki-Minsk, Russian duo thrive, drama in Cegled and Nymburk

    The Belarusian outfit surprised their hosts, who have been touted as one of the favorites to land silverware in the competition. Tsmoki benefited from a stellar 30 points and 13 rebounds from Viktoriya Hasper and a decisive 12-22 last period.

    It was also a good night for Russian clubs, with WBC Enisey taking a convincing 54-73 win at Sepsi-Sic behind 20 points and 10 rebounds from Stephanie Mavunga. Meanwhile MBA Moscow also chalked up a win, but had to work hard to nudge past Energa Torun 86-82.

    While Besiktas fell down, one Turkish club did prevail, with Cukurova winning 89-68 against Beroe, while Artego Bydgoszcz strolled past fellow Polish club Gorzow by 92-74, with Ziomara Morrison firing 16 points and collecting 9 rebounds.

    Elsewhere, there was high drama as Rutronik Stars Keltern won 80-81 at a heartbroken VBW CEKK Cegled and Chloe Wells emerged as a hero for Basketball Nymburk, as she sealed a thrilling 71-70 success over MBK Ruzomberok with 19 points and the deal-breaker in crunch time.
