ACS Sepsi, Lointek Gernika Bizkaia and KSC Szekszard all advance

MUNICH (Germany) - Three more tickets for the next phase of EuroCup Women were taken on Wednesday night as ACS Sepsi Sic, Lointek Gernika Bizakaia and KSC Szekszard all got the precious wins they needed.

ACS Sepsi Sic enjoyed completing a famous double over Galatasaray as they followed up their home victory during Week 2 with a 78-70 road triumph in Istanbul. It was a real team effort, with Krisi Givens, Simina Andra Mandache, Annemarie Godri-Parau and Jovana Pasic all recording double-digit scoring returns.

Another side winning on their travels and making the next stage of the competition are Lointek Gernika Bizkaia, who got the victory they needed at Uni Gyor-Mely-Ut. It was Serbian center Nikolina Milic who provided the thrust for the 74-60 win with a smart shooting effort netting 16 points.

One Hungarian club who didn't fall short are KSC Szekszard as they shrugged off a slow start to ease past Herner TC 85-61.  As usual, it was Croatian standout Ivana Dojkic making the noise as she harvested 20 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds.

Some other clubs may yet have their safe passage confirmed on Thursday night, including Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje, who smashed their way past Mabetex Prishtina 115-42 as Daria Kurilchuk erupted for 30 points. They will be hoping local rivals MBA Moscow do them a favor against Besiktas.

CCC Polkowice boosted their chances with a superb 75-55 win against Orman Genclik thanks  mainly to a super 27 points from Danielle Robinson. They will be through if Bellona Kayseri lose.

Similarly after winning a thriller 84-81 at Carolo Basket off the back of  17 points and 15 boards from Uju Ogoka, Roche Vendee would book their place in the next round if Elfic Fribourg do not get a victory tomorrow - as would Carolo.

Meanwhile after coming out on the wrong side of a 78-75 tear-jerker with Valencia Basket Club SAD, there is still a big hope for Olympiacos. They will go through if VBW CEKK Cegled suffer a defeat.

Elsewhere, Tsmoki Minsk boosted chance of one of best third placed runners-up with a hard fought 70-68 win at WBC Enisey. There was also a 73-69 win for DVTK Miskolc over Cadi La Seu, with second place in the group boiling down to the last game of the Regular Season. Basket Landes remained flawless with an 83-48 win against PEAC Pecs.
