Which players will be the ones to make a difference in EuroCup Women Group I?

MUNICH (EuroCup Women) – It's time to jump into EuroCup Women Group I as we check out which players are ready to fire on all cylinders for Reyer Venezia, KP Brno, TSV 1880 Wasserburg and Elfic Fribourg.

Riquina Williams (Reyer Venezia)

This could be one of the signings of the summer, with Reyer Venezia landing a WNBA Finals-level guard. Williams will provide a potent scoring threat, someone for the clutch, a major creator and someone who doesn't mind doing the dirty work either.

Ilona Burgrova (KP Brno)

A legend of the ZBL and Czech basketball, the forward is never liable to stuff the boxscore with statistics, but her experience at the end of a super career is priceless for Brno. She brings know-how, from competing in EuroLeague Women where she played at three Final Fours and won the title in 2015. A real warrior, Burgrova will set the tone, demand high standards, but have fun along the way.

Rebecca Tobin (TSV 1880 Wasserburg)

The powerful Tobin joined Wasserburg mid-season last year and showed glimpses of what she is capable of in the post during a couple of EuroCup Women outings and en-route silverware domestically. She will be a force once again and offer something of a match-up headache for her opponents.

Kailyn Williams (Elfic Fribourg)

Entering her rookie pro-season, how the forward takes to the competition could have a major bearing on the prospects of the Swiss club. They have attained some eye-catching results in the past couple of seasons, but need their newcomer and Beth-Cookman NCAA graduate to stand strong in the paint to be successful.

Veronika Remenarova (KP Brno)

At the other end of the spectrum to her new colleague Ilona Burgrova, the 20-year-old Remenarova is now primed to make a bigger impact. The forward has two previous seasons behind her at the club and she must use her mobility around the court to start imposing herself more on games. She should get increased minutes and having played for Slovak Republic at FIBA EuroBasket Women 2017, she has new experiences under her belt.

Santa Okockyte (TSV 1880 Wasserburg)

The Lithuania national team playmaker can sometimes blow hot and cold, but when she's on-song, she is hugely effective. Okockyte averaged almost 6 assists per game for Udominate in EuroCup Women last season and it largely went unnoticed that she also scored big too. Both elements of her game will be welcomed by Wasserburg.

Noemi Mayombo (Elfic Fribourg)

The guard has been in great form for her new club and even took an MVP accolade at a pre-season tournament which bodes well for the season ahead. Maymobo can score and create and poured in more than 15 points per game in the competition previously with Enisey and that demonstrates the talent which the Belgian has.
