Reyer Venezia, Galatasaray to meet in Final

MUNICH (EuroCup Women) – Reyer Venezia and Galatasaray will battle it out for the 2018 EuroCup Women title.

Italian side Reyer Venezia reached their first European Final on Thursday night, by overturning a 20-point first leg deficit to Turkish club Hatay BB, taking the victory by an aggregate score of 134-131. Incidentally, their men's team reached the FIBA Europe Cup Semi-Finals an evening earlier.

Istanbul club, Galatasaray will be aiming for their second title, after winning their maiden EuroCup Women championship in 2009. This sees the team go one step further than 12 months previous, when they were knocked out in the Semi-Finals.

Galatasaray, who began the season in EuroLeague Women, cemented their place in the Final by knocking out fellow EuroLeague Women Regular Season club, Perfumerias Avenida, 124-119, on aggregate score.

The Final will be played over two legs, with the first leg scheduled to be played in Istanbul on April 11, and the return leg in Venice one week later.
