Good Angels Kosice win double overtime thriller; 3 teams advance

KOSICE (EuroCup Women) - Good Angels Kosice prevailed in one of the games of the Regular Season so far with a thrilling 89-87 victory over previously unbeaten Mersin, in double-overtime.

Twice they forced an extra period before a pivotal 7-1 burst in the second instalment of overtime helped secure an important victory.

Anna Jurcenkova had 22 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks with five other players in double figures as Kosice go level at the top of Group B with Mersin on a 3-1 record.

Also in the group, Enisey kept up the pressure following a narrow 55-52 success against MBK Ruzomberok, having survived a third-quarter slump.

Hatay BB, Virtus Eirene and Carolo Basket all advance having moved to 4-0 in their respective groups.

Group D
Hatay BB battled back from 14 down to maintain their perfect record as they defeated Piestankse Cajky 57-63 on the road.

Courtney Paris starred with a dominant display of 23 points and 19 rebounds as a late 6-0 run proved decisive in ensuring their spot in the next round.

Meanwhile, ACS Sepsi kept their hopes alive with a convincing 71-49 success over Energa Torun as Tyaunna Marshall netted 25 points to lead all scorers.

Group E
AGU Spor recorded a comfortable 99-64 win against their Turkish rivals, Istanbul Universitesi with 23 points from Dila Askin, while Nilay Kartaltepe handed out 11 assists as her side improve to 2-2.

Group F
Sarah Imovbioh led PEAC-Pecs to their first Regular Season win with a stellar 15-point and 16-rebound double-double.

The Hungarian side had trailed by as many as 17, but produced a spirited comeback for a 69-67 victory.

Carolo Basket improved to a 4-0 start to book their spot in the next round with an 88-78 win at home to DVTK, despite 29 points from Monica Engelman.

Group H
Virtus Eirene recorded their fourth win to advance as they defeated KSC Szekszard 72-59 behind 22 points from Chiara Cosolini.
