Gajic top of the performers

MUNICH (EuroCup Women) - Marica Gajic continued her string of standout performances for Mersin, this week earning herself Top Performer honors.

With a 19-point, 19-rebound double-double, the Bosnia and Herzegovina international was able to ensure her Turkish club Mersin built a handy 15-point advantage going into the home leg of their clash against MBA Moscow. All up, it meant an efficiency of 32 for Gajic.

In the first leg of the Playoff Round 1, the team making the biggest statement was St. Amand. Playing at home to Wasserburg, the French team take a commanding 23-point lead to Germany next week. Two key components of that big win were Laura Garcia Salinero and Ashley Bruner. Salinero led the team in style from the back court with 21 points and 5 rebounds, whilst power forward Bruner came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds.

The diminutive Julie McBride makes another appearance in the Top Performer team, thanks to her 9 points and 11 assists as Artego Bydgoszcz picked up a comfortable 86-68 win on the road in Miskolc. 

Finally, rounding out this week's Top Performer team is Uni Gyor center Cyesha Goree. She was a shining light in her side's 76-67 loss to KSC Szekszard, finishing with a 17-point, 12-rebound double-double.
