Basket 90 Gdynia leap towards EuroCup Women Regular Season

GDYNIA (EuroCup Women) - Basket 90 Gdynia look to have all but sealed a place in the EuroCup Women Regular Season after sinking Spartak Noginsk 95-55 in the first leg of their Qualifiers tie.

Turning Point: There wasn't one, since Gdynia started red-hot in the opening quarter as they blasted their way into a commanding 30-9 advantage and coasted to their huge victory.

Stats don't lie: It was a miserable shooting night for Spartak Noginsk who didn't make a single three-point attempt in the whole game, while Gdynia got into double-digits for triples made.

Game heroes: It was a team performance from the winning side, although Victoria Jankoska, Kahleah Copper and Sofija Aleksandravicius stood out. Janoska top-scored with 22 points, Copper added 19 and Aleksandravicius completed a double-double of 10 points and 10 boards.

The bottom line: This was how to make home advantage pay by Gdynia and barring a spectacular collapse on Russian soil, they are set to realize their goal of the Regular Season. As for Noginsk, their capitulation looks like costing them any realistic prospect of advancing.
