FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Pre-Qualifiers First Round draw seedings revealed

MUNICH (Germany) - The seedings for the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Pre-Qualifiers First Round have been confirmed for Friday's draw as the 10 participating national teams wait to find out who they will face.

The draw will be streamed live on the official FIBA YouTube channel on Friday, August 20, 2021 starting at 11:45 CET.


The seedings, as per the FIBA World Ranking Men, presented by Nike, are as follows:

Seed 1: Romania; Denmark; Switzerland
Seed 2: Austria; Kosovo; Luxembourg
Seed 3: Cyprus; Norway; Albania
Seed 4: Ireland

The teams will be drawn into three groups, with one group of four teams and two groups of three teams. Each team will play the other teams in its group in home and away games in a Round Robin system.

The First Round of the Pre-Qualifiers will take place in three windows on November 25-28, 2021; February 24-27, 2022; and June 30-July 3, 2022.

Four teams – the three group winners and the best-ranked second-placed team – will qualify for the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Pre-Qualifiers Second Round to be played in three windows in August 2022, November 2022 and February 2023.
