BERLIN (Germany) - FIBA EuroBasket 2022 co-hosts Germany have launched ticket sales for the games to be staged in Cologne and Berlin with 489 days remaining until action tips off in Europe's flagship basketball event.

The official draw, which took place on Thursday, saw the German national team drawn in Group B alongside the reigning European champions Slovenia as well as France, Lithuania, Hungary and Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Group Phase in Cologne, set to take place from September 1-7, 2022.

"Yesterday the draw; today the first tickets are already available in Germany. Basketball fans, get your tickets for FIBA EuroBasket 2022 in Cologne and Berlin now. There is great basketball to see!" said FIBA EuroBasket 2022 ambassador Dirk Nowitzki, who also assisted in drawing the teams during Thursday's ceremony.

The four best teams from the Cologne-based Group B and other Group Phase groups in Milan, Prague and Tbilisi will advance to the Final Phase in Berlin, to be played from September 10-18.

Tickets are available both for the Group Phase in Cologne and the Final Phase in Berlin. The ticket packages offer price advantages of up to 20 percent compared to session tickets and are available in the following variants:

• Venue Ticket - A Group Phase ticket for all 15 games in Cologne (from €229) or a Final Phase ticket for all 16 games in Berlin (from €399).
• Team Ticket - A ticket for all sessions of a team in the Group Phase in Cologne. There are two sessions per game day: Session 1 is the game with German participation, Session 2 includes the other two games. With the Team Ticket, you can secure a permanent seat in the respective fan block of the teams from Germany, Lithuania, France, Slovenia, Hungary and Bosnia and Herzegovina for all five game days. The availability of team tickets is limited (from €139).
• Final Weekend Ticket - A ticket for the final weekend in Berlin with both Semi-Finals, Third-Place Game and the Final all included (from €179).

All packages will be available online from Friday, April 30, 2021 in the ticket shop at www.eventim.de directly and via eurobasket.basketball. In a further sales phase, the Day Tickets are planned to be made available in Autumn 2021, while session tickets will go on sale in Spring 2022, if seats are still available respectively.
