Teodosic, Raduljica headline Serbia squad for February Qualifiers

BELGRADE (Serbia) - Milos Teodosic and Miroslav Raduljica will spearhead Serbia's efforts in the February window of the FIBA EuroBasket 2021 Qualifiers after being named in the 15-man squad that will compete under new coach Igor Kokoskov.

Teodosic has been one of Europe's top guards for more than a decade. He led his country to runners-up finishes at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2014 in Spain and the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

He was injured and did not feature in Serbia's World Cup campaign in China last summer.

Raduljica, also a key man in those the teams that finished second in 2014 and 2016, did play in China, where Serbia came in fifth.

Novica Velickovic, a key man for Serbia in the team that finished second at EuroBasket 2009 in Poland, and fourth at the 2010 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Turkey, has also been included. He has not featured with Serbia since.

Serbia will play Finland in Espoo on February 20 before returning home to host Georgia on February 23 in Belgrade's Aleksandar Nikolic Hall.

The FIBA EuroBasket 2021 will have Group Phase games played in Germany, Georgia, Italy and the Czech Republic. Georgia, as a host, have a spot assured in the 24-team tournament while Serbia, Finland and Switzerland will fight for the other two spots from Group E.

The national team will gather on February 16 in Belgrade.
