FIBA EuroBasket Dream Teams: Vote for your ultimate Russia lineup!

MUNICH (Germany) - This millennium has seen a number of clutch shots in FIBA EuroBasket, but none bigger than the one that sent Russia to the top of the podium in 2007.

J.R. Holden's long two silenced the 15,000 Spanish fans in the stands in Madrid, as Russia collected their first gold in a FIBA EuroBasket event since the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Russia had swept their initial group with Greece, Israel and Serbia, then lost only one game in the Second Round, against the hosts, Spain.

But they bounced back with a vengeance, defeating France, Lithuania and Spain to lift the trophy and complete one of the biggest upsets since the turn of the century. Russia has been a regular in the Quarter-Finals, also climbing the podium with a third place finish in 2011, and exiting the competition too soon just twice, in 2013 and 2015.

Their Semi-Finals appearance in 2017 seems to have sent the ship back on the right track and Sergey Bazarevich's boys are now ready to write another page of this country's illustrious basketball history. Time for you to vote - who were the most impressive Russian players since 2000?
