Latvia inscribe first win, as Porzingis and Timma put Belgium in whirlpool
ISTANBUL (FIBA EuroBasket 2017) - After coming up short in their opening FIBA EuroBasket 2017 game to Serbia, Latvia bounced back with a 92-64 victory over Belgium on Saturday in Group D.
It was a night to remember for Kristaps Porzingis and Janis Timma, who collected 27 points apiece, combining for more than half of the team's total output.
Meanwhile, Axel Hervelle was the only double-digit scorer for Belgium with 12 points, while Pierre-Antoine Gillet collected 9 points and 5 rebounds.
