MIES, Switzerland (FIBA EuroBasket 2017) - FIBA, the International Basketball Federation, announced on Thursday it has signed a partnership agreement with Junckers, a leading manufacturer of solid wood sports flooring.
 
The partnership calls for the Denmark-based company to serve as Official Technical Supplier of FIBA EuroBasket 2017. As such, it will supply custom-made and specially-designed wooden courts for the five venues that will host the biggest European basketball competition.
 
Junckers has previously teamed up with FIBA, providing sports flooring at EuroBasket 2009 and for the Olympic Basketball Tournament at the Athens 2004 Games.

The agreement comes after FIBA put out a Request of Proposal to all FIBA Venue & Equipment Centre partners in the category of wooden flooring.
 
Thanks to seven subsidiaries and a network of distributors and agents, Junckers is represented in more than 50 countries, including the four - Finland, Israel, Romania and Turkey - that will host FIBA EuroBasket 2017.
