HAMBURG (FIBA EuroBasket 2017 Trophy Tour) - It was Germany's turn to host the FIBA EuroBasket Trophy Tour over the weekend, with the trophy present at the Supercup.

The Supercup, which took place between hosts Germany, Poland, Russia and Serbia was played from Friday to Sunday in the northern German city.

Germany are no strangers to the FIBA EuroBasket trophy, having been one of the four hosts of FIBA EuroBasket 2015.

As well as being present at the Supercup games, there was a chance to take in Hamburg's iconic sights.

Fans and players alike took the opportunity to have their photos with the Trophy, as confirmed by German Basketball Federation Press Officer Christoph Buker.

"The spectators in Germany have been very excited about the trophy and very interested in doing selfies and other photos.

"The selfie with Joe Voigtmann and the trophy has been liked a lot online and if there were similar effects in all 24 host countries this will generate awareness for sure."
