Croatia's sunny seaside a perfect backdrop for the FIBA EuroBasket 2017 Trophy Tour

ZADAR (FIBA EuroBasket 2017 Trophy Tour) - The sun was shining on the FIBA EuroBasket 2017 Trophy Tour when it dropped in on the Croatia 3x3 National Tour in the seaside location of Zadar on Monday.

With temperatures soaring to 39 degrees, the heat became a little too much for Sam Dunk, who remained indoors, but it didn't stop the basketball players from turning out in their hordes. The National Tour was taking place in one of the most iconic locations on the Croatian coast - Roman Forum Zadar, which also provided the perfect backdrop for photographs.

Croatian Basketball Marketing Coordinator, Bozo Jukic explained the choice of Zadar for the stop, point to the basketball tradition of the city.

"Zadar is considered to be the birthplace of Croatian basketball, giving many great players which had a huge impact on our basketball tradition. Having such passionate basketball fans, Zadar is definitely the right place for the trophy to be shown.

"The appearance of the trophy is a great promotion for basketball and FIBA EuroBasket 2017. People having an opportunity to take pictures with the trophy is great. I believe that this kind of exposure is something that brings our whole basketball community together and brings excitement about FIBA EuroBasket 2017."

The FIBA EuroBasket 2017 Trophy Tour resumes in the Romanian cities of Oradea and Cluj-Napoca - the host city of Group C - from July 14-15.
