COTONOU (Tournoi International 3x3 Basket-ball -Trophée Salamatou Maiga) - Mali men and women teams were crowned ''Tournoi International 3x3 Basket-ball - Trophée Salamatou Maiga" winners on Sunday evening, after beating respectively Nigeria's men and women team 19-9 and 9-5.

Niger men and women teams joined the two sides on the podium as they saw off host Benin 14-12 and 13-8 respectively in both categories.

Mali U18 Women team crowned champions at Inaugural edition of ''Tournoi International 3x3 Basket-ball -Trophée Salamatou Maiga,Cotonou-Benin

Mali’s Sekou Dembele, who featured at the 2016 FIBA Africa U18 Championship in Kigali, Rwanda, was named MVP of the maiden edition of this event which is organised in tribute to late Salamatou Maiga,former FIBA and FIBA Africa Central Board member.

Mali and Togo have been awarded the organisation rights of the 2017 and 2018 editions of the Tournament.
