How to get to Belgrade

The city of Belgrade is perfectly connected with international airports thus hosting everyday flights by major airline companies such as Air Serbia, Lufthansa, British Airways, Austrian Airlines, Air France and Swiss International Air Lines.

The city of Belgrade is at the crossroads of all major railways routes of Europe so one can easily reach the capital by choosing a suitable train connection. Serbian Railways are offering their passengers a range of discounts and concessions such as Euro Domino, Balkan Flexipass, RailPlus, InterRail, Easy Travel Card, and Euro<26.

Given that Belgrade is located at the crossroads of European routes E70 and E75, one can easily reach it by a personal vehicle. Foreign drivers must provide their national driver's license, a traffic control permit and an insurance policy. Passenger vehicles holding foreign registration plates must pay a toll road at the following routes:

- E70 Subotica – Novi Sad

- E75 Novi Sad – Beograd

- E70 Šid – Beograd

- E75 Beograd – Niš

- E75 Niš – Leskovac

"NIKOLA TESLA"AIRPORT

"Nikola Tesla" Airport is the main civil Serbian airport, located somewhat 18 kilometres away from the capital’s downtown area. The airport is quite modest which makes it easy to navigate. The airport has set up facilities and services to support disabled persons. The airport includes several bars and restaurants, currency exchange offices, a post office and a bank point, and a rent-a-car agency. Medical care is provided at all hours at the airport.

THE BELGRADE RAILWAY STATION

The main Belgrade Railway Station is located near the capital’s downtown area next to the Belgrade Bus Station (BAS). The "Beograd Centar – Prokop" Railway Station is about one kilometre away, close to the highway. One can easily reach the downtown area from the main station – it is a simple walking distance. Furthermore, one can take a local bus, a tram or simply a taxi service.

THE BELGRADE BUS STATION

The Belgrade Bus Station (BAS) is located near the capital’s downtown area next to the main Belgrade Railway Station. The system allows their passengers to reach various Serbian and international destinations from Belgrade. One can both make reservations and get bus tickets at the station booths. The downtown area is smoothly reachable.
