Serbia and Spain win FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup 2021, presented by Caisse d’Epargne

PARIS (FRANCE) -  Serbia's men and Spain's women won the  FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup 2021 presented by Caisse d’Epargne in Paris, France on September 10-12. 

In front of the iconic Eiffel Tower, Serbia won their third consecutive 3x3 Europe Cup title in the men's category after defeating Lithuania  20-14 in the final. The Tokyo Olympics bronze medalists dominated the title game against Lithuania thanks to  Miroslav Pasajlic and Mihailo Vasic, who scored 8 points apiece.

The 26-year-old Pasajlic was named MVP of the competition after topping all players in key assists and leading his team in player value. He was joined on the team of the tournament by the event top scorer and bronze medalist Przemyslaw Zamojski (Poland) and the top rebounder and silver medalist Aurelijus Pukelis (Lithuania).

In the women's competition, Spain avenged their overtime final loss in the last edition after beating first-time medalists Germany in the final (16-12).

Spain 3x3 star Sandra Ygueravide led all players in scoring (including a  game-high six points in the final) and was named MVP of the Europe Cup.

The number one 3x3 player in the world was joined on the team of the tournament by tournament top rebounder Germany's Sonja Greinacher and France's Marie-Eve Paget, who led France to the bronze medal in front of more than 2,000 enthusiastic fans. 

In the shoot-out contest, presented by Le Parisien, Arvin Slagter (Netherlands) took home the gold medal, Ukraine's Anna Olkhovyk won silver, and Lithuania's Kamile Nacickaite earned bronze.
