PANAMA (Centrobasket) - The Dominican Republic National Team secured first place of Group B after defeating Virgin Islands, 75-69, on the last day of group stage.

• Turning Point: The Dominicans captured a 15-point lead in the third quarter, but the team of the Virgin Islands discounted from the Dominican advantage and got within six points of the opponent during the fourth quarter. Melvyn Lopez's team stayed calm and closed the match in their favor.
