DAZN and Basketball Champions League Americas announce 2019-2021 partnership in Brazil

MIAMI (Basketball Champions League Americas) - The Basketball Champions League Americas (BCLA) announced its partnership with the ground-breaking live and on demand sports streaming service DAZN for the broadcast in Brazil for two seasons of the continental club competition. The agreement is effective as of Monday, October 28, 2019, when DAZN will produce the inaugural game between Mogi Das Cruces (Brazil) and San Lorenzo de Almagro (Argentina), starting at 8pm (local time).

DAZN is the world's first streaming service dedicated to live sports, offering fans unlimited access to the widest range of sports, live or on demand, on any device connected to the Internet. The service includes live broadcasts of the most important events in Austria, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, United States, Canada, Italy and since this year in Spain and Brazil.

“We are very happy to announce DAZN as the home of the Basketball Champions League Americas. This is a very important step in our goal of repositioning and elevating the continent's club competitions through the development of a strong, relevant and sustainable ecosystem for basketball in the region.”, commented Carlos Alves, Executive Director of the International Federation of Basketball (FIBA) in the Americas.

“Since our arrival in Brazil in May, we have announced important basketball broadcasting rights. Now we also have the Basketball Champions League Americas. We want to continue surprising sports fans and offering high-level competitions exclusively on the platform.”, said Bruno Rocha, Executive Vice President of DAZN for Brazil.

With this agreement, DAZN will give its Brazilian spectators the opportunity to follow the full seasons of Mogi Das Cruzes, Flamengo and Franca in the competition. The BCLA will be maximized with an exclusive experience through their digital coverage.

Recently, DAZN had also signed a three-year agreement with the Basketball Champions League (Europe) to broadcast the competition in Spain.
