Vote now: Who was your MVP of Gameday 12?

MUNICH (Germany) - The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers are all done, leaving us with just one question for the February Window: Who was your MVP of the last Gameday in these Qualifiers?

The list contains five candidates. First one is Noam Yaacov from Israel, who came off the bench to collect 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in an 87-79 win over Slovenia, done on the road. Yaacov is still just an 18-year-old - born in October 2004 - and he is coming off a stellar month where he helped Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem win the Israeli State Cup.

Adam Somogyi is another youngster. The 22-year-old Hungarian guard picked up a double-double as a starter, getting to 17 points and 11 assists. He knocked down 4-of-5 three-pointers, and Hungary were a +17 team with him on the floor, a big margin in a game against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Szombathely, which had the final score 87-77.

Melwin Pantzar was impressive in a losing effort. The Swedish do-it-all 22-year-old showed a bit of everything by delivering 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Sweden lost to Estonia 72-71, but both teams were previously eliminated so the defeat had no repercussions on the final standings in Group  J.

Staying in the same group for the power forward. Johannes Voigtmann and Germany defeated Finland 87-81, claiming first place in the group thanks to the hot shooting seven footer. Voigtmann had 23 points on 5-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc, while flirting with a triple-double, finishing with 9 rebounds and 9 assists.

Finally, the spot under the rim belongs to Giorgi Shermadini. Georgia lost their last game 80-77, but advanced to the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 since they owned the tiebreaker over Iceland, by just a single point. Shermadini did his part with 23 points on 9-of-9 shooting - he did not miss a single field goal attempt in February.
