    MUNICH (Germany) - As the first checkpoint on the road to the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 nears in the European Qualifiers, the fate of teams yet to clinch Second Round berths hangs in the balance.

    The numbers are simple: 12 teams have already secured their spots, with the other 18 heading into the July window with a significant amount of pressure on their shoulders. For a full overview of the situation, make sure to check out the group standings.

    With the top three teams in each group advancing,  most eyes will be on the teams currently placed fourth in their respective groups – Croatia, North Macedonia, Portugal, Slovakia, and, in particular, Czech Republic and Poland who both went all the way to the Quarter-Finals in the last edition of the World Cup in China.
