Game tickets for Final Phase and Day Passes for Group Phase now on sale for World Cup in China

MIES (Switzerland)/BEIJING (China) - Fans wanting to watch the vital contests late in the FIBA Basketball World Cup can now buy game tickets for the Final Phase.

Day Passes for the First, Second and Classification Rounds can also be purchased (with each having gone on sale on June 3).

The first-ever FIBA Basketball World Cup in China, the biggest event on the sports calendar this year, tips off on August 31 and runs until September 15.

Fans that buy Day Passes will get a double-dose of excitement as holders get separate tickets to both games played on a specific day, at the same venue, and at a 10% discount.

Day passes are available only until the end of June. Game tickets for the Group Phase will then, in July,  go on sale.

The Day Pass is made up of two separate tickets for each game and a valid Chinese ID or a passport is required for purchase.

A maximum of four Game Tickets or Day Passes can be purchased for each single order. The same category has to be chosen for each order.

Tickets for the World Cup went on sale with the launch of the Team Pass on February 28, just days after the Qualifiers concluded to determine the field of 32 participating teams for basketball's biggest competition. These tickets sold extremely well and are no longer on offer.

The City Pass is the second type of ticket to be made available and was only available until May 31 with fans then able to purchase the last two ticket types - Day Pass and Game Tickets - in June.
