FIBA to live stream preparation games of Australia, Canada and New Zealand

MIES (Switzerland)/MELBOURNE (Australia) - With the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 just around the corner, FIBA and Australia’s National Basketball League have teamed up to live stream the Australian Boomers, Canada Basketball and the New Zealand Tall Blacks preparation games for the World Cup.

The three teams will be playing a number of warm-up games as part of the International Basketball Series 2019 prior to their quest to become World Champions in China, with the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 tipping off on August 31 in eight different cities across China. 

The following four games will be streamed on FIBA’s YouTube channel and also on the FIBA Facebook channel

     August 16, 2019 – Australian Boomers vs. Canada Basketball in Perth (10:30 GMT)

     August 17, 2019 – Australian Boomers vs. Canada Basketball in Perth (10:30 GMT)

     August 20, 2019 – Canada Basketball vs. New Zealand Tall Blacks in Melbourne (10:30 GMT)

     August 21, 2019 – Canada Basketball vs. New Zealand Tall Blacks in Melbourne (10:30 GMT)

Basketball Australia Chief Executive Officer Jerril Rechter said "Our Boomers team will be the strongest ever and the two games in Melbourne will be played in front of a combined crowd of 100,000 people, creating a fantastic atmosphere and making a real statement for the sport of basketball here in Australia."
