Veteran Maciulis returns for Lithuania's Qualifiers against Italy and Croatia

VILNIUS (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers) - Lithuania have announced their 15-man squad for the upcoming games against Italy and Croatia in the fifth window of the European Qualifiers.

Among those included is three-time Olympian Jonas Maciulis, who featured in Lithuania's resounding wins over Poland and Hungary at the end of the First Round of the Qualifiers for next year's World Cup in China.

In addition to Maciulis, the most senior members of the team that have been named are Mantas Kalnietis and Renaldas Seibutis.

Three others - Adas Juskevicius, Eimantas Bendzius and Rokas Giedraitis - have helped Lithuania win all eight of their games to already clinch a spot in next year's tournament.

Bendzius shot 8 of 16 from behind the arc in the last window, scoring 16 points in an 84-83 triumph at Italy and 14 in a 95-93 overtime triumph against the Netherlands in Vilnius.

Bendzius has been one of Lithuania's big scorers in the Qualifiers

Among the youngsters on the 15-man list are Gytis Masiulis, the son of former Lithuania international Tomas Masiulis.

While he is poised to make his debut in the Qualifiers, one of his teammates from the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup in Egypt last year, Arnoldas Kulboka has returned to the squad Kulboka and has played once so far.

Lithuania face Italy in Brescia on November 29 and then host Croatia in Vilnius on December 2.
