Lithuania steamroll Poland with air-tight defense
KLAIPEDA (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers) - Rampant Lithuania enjoyed their second successive big win in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Qualifiers after making light work of Poland in a 75-55 home rout, dominating a lop-sided contest after a slow first quarter.
Turning point: The second quarter. The Lithuanians won it 25-8 after trailing 17-13 at the end of the opening period and there was no way back for the visiting Poles. They put up a decent fight but were outdone by a more resourceful team.

Game hero: Eimantas Bendzuis poured in 18 points for a well-balanced Lithuanian team, with 11 out of 12 players on their roster getting on the scoresheet.
Stats don't lie: The Lithuanians didn't exactly shine from long range as they hit only seven out of 24 three-pointers, but their ironclad defense saw Poland make a mere three of 23 attempts of their own from behind the arc. Poland also committed a staggering 18 turnovers against Lithuania's 14, hence it meant little that they collected a whopping 40 rebounds.
