Gladyr credits time with Ukraine national team during Qualifiers for improved form
MONACO (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers) - Ukraine sharpshooter Sergii Gladyr has attributed his scintillating shooting display for AS Monaco Basket at the weekend to a rediscovery of confidence during the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers.
Gladyr drilled 9 of 10 shots from 3-point range and scored a career-high 30 points in a 99-71 triumph at Dijon. In his first 10 Pro A games, he was a combined 9-of-34 (26.5 percent) from long range.

Wearing the Ukraine jersey in November, he scored 16 points in an 84-76 win over Sweden and followed that up with 20 points in a 67-60 loss to Turkey. He was a combined 8 of 19 from 3-point range in the two games.
"The time I spent with the national team during the November window allowed me to find my confidence," he said. "I tried to play the way I know how to. I'm happy I helped the team."
