The Terrific Trios of the second Asian Qualifiers window

BERUIT (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Asian Qualifiers) - Five teams went gone through the second window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Asian Qualifiers without a loss. Whereas we looked at some of the top Dynamic Duos from the first window, a group of Terrific Trios carried their teams to two victories in the February games.

Here are the five best Terrific Trios from the second window of the Asian Qualifiers. 

Agnus Brandt, Mitchell Creek and Mitchell McCarron - Australia

Australia have been dominating their Group B competition by the tune of a 24.8 point average winning margin. In the second window, the Boomers picked up a 16-point win over Philippines and then beat Chinese Taipei by 20 points in two home games to move to 4-0. Mitchell Creek has been Australia's leading man - averaging 15 points, 10 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the two games. But two of his most consistent running mates in February were Agnus Brandt and Mitchell McCarron. Brandt came up with a big 13 points against Philippines and then had six points and nine rebounds against Chinese Taipei. McCarron was big against the Filipinos with 11 rebounds and then he picked up 11 points and five steals against Chinese Taipei.

Samad Nikkhah Bahrami, Hamed Haddadi and Sajjad Mashayekhi - Iran

The one-two punch of Hamed Haddadi and Samad Nikkhah Bahrami was overwhelming for Iran in Group D with wins over Kazakhstan on the road and against Iraq at home to improve to 3-1. The two veteran stars combined for 41 points, 23 rebounds and 13 assists against Kazakhstan and then had 31 points, 13 rebounds, nine assists, four steals and three blocks against Iraq. But the Iranians truly had a Terrific Trio as Sajjad Mashayekhi averaged 11.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.0 steals in the window. 

Mahmoud Abdeen, Mousa Al Awadi and Dar Tucker - Jordan

Jordan fans know that Dar Tucker will be showing up, but Mahmoud Abdeen and Mousa Al Awadi proved they are big-time leaders as well in helping Jordan grab wins at India and at home against Syria to move to 4-0 in Group C. Tucker did a bit of everything against India with 18 points, seven assists, six rebounds and two steals while Abdeen and Al Awadi combined for 30 points, eight assists and five rebounds. Against Syria, Tucker was unstoppable with 28 points, six rebounds, four steals and three assists. Still Abdeen and Al Awadi added 34 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and two steals.

Wael Arakji, Ater Majok and Amir Saoud - Lebanon

Lebanon took care of business in Group C with comfortable road wins over Syria and India - being led by the group of Wael Arakji, Ater Majok and Amir Saoud. Arakji was the playmaker with 16.0 points and 5.5 assists per game while Saoud averaged 21.0 points and 4.0 assists of his own and Majok picked up two double-doubles (14.5 points and 10.5 rebounds) not to mention 2.5 assists, 2.5 blocks and 2.0 steals per game.

Isaac Fotu, Corey Webster and Tai Webster - New Zealand

New Zealand showed they had learned from their first window and came back together in strong fashion to pick up big road victories in China and Korea. And there was a lot of the Webster brothers Corey and Tai as well as big man Isaac Fotu in improving to 3-1 in Group A. The Websters took care a lot of the scoring in the first game, both picking up 18 points and five assists while Fotu had eight points and six rebounds. Corey Webster took over the main scoring duties against Korea with 30 points to go with six assists while Tai Webster was held to two points, three assists and two rebounds but worried most importantly about tough defense in slowing down the Korean attack. And Fotu came up big against Korea with 18 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals in turning the brotherly Dynamic Duo into a Tall Black Terrific Trio.
