    BUENOS AIRES (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers) – Sergio Hernandez, Head Coach of the Argentinian National Team confirmed the 12-players that will wear the Argentinian jersey during the next window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers.

     
    Sharp-shooter Paolo Quinteros is a stand-out in the preliminary pool of players, as the last time he played for the Argentinian National Team was during the FIBA AmeriCup 2011 in Mar del Plata, where the team won the Gold-Medal.

    Marcos Mata makes his return to the National Team process after appearing on the first window of the Qualifiers. Meanwhile, this is the first appearance of Lucas Faggiano in the National Team process.

    Team captain Luis Scola will lead the team, as he has done throughout the Qualifiers while averaging 16.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.

    La Rioja will serve as backdrop when Argentina hosts the USA and Mexico during the next window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers.

    The Argentinians will receive the USA on November 29 in what will be the first match-up between the top two teams from Group E during the Americas Qualifiers. Argentina and USA will meet again during the February 2019 window of the Qualifiers.

    “El Alma” will then host Mexico on December 2. In their previous encounter, Argentina held on to a well-fought 78-74 win in Mexico City.
