MONTEVIDEO (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers) – The newly appointed Head Coach of the Uruguayan National Team, Ruben Magnano, announced Uruguay’s 14-player preliminary list for the next window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers, where the team will receive Puerto Rico and the USA.

Esteban Batista, the undoubtable leader of the team will be fundamental in the team’s aspirations after averaging 18.2 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.
Contributions from well-known experienced players Gustavo Barrera, Luciano Parodi, Bruno Fitipaldo, Matias Calfani and Hatila Passos will add opportunities to the “Charrua” against tough opponents.
The Uruguayans will receive Puerto Rico at the newly inaugurated Antel Arena on November 29. Uruguay will then host the USA at the same arena on December 2.
This will be the first match-up between Uruguay and Puerto Rico at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers. The teams will meet again on February 25, with the Boricuas serving as hosts.
Uruguay currently ties Puerto Rico at the third position of Group E with a 5-3 record.
