D'Almeida, Ndoye and vetaran Aw headline Senegal's preliminary squad for last window
DAKAR (Senegal) - Senegal Basketball Federation (FSBB) on Wednesday announced a 16-man preliminary squad for next month's FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 African Qualifiers.
With eight players who featured in the fourth window of the qualifiers in Nigeria last September set to return, head coach Abou Ndiaye combined experienced, promising and established players in an attempt to improve from their Group F's 7-2 mark.

Jules Richard Aw, a 32-year-old forward who last represented Senegal at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2006, is joined by rising star Youssoupha Fall.

A talented and versatile 2.21m (7ft2) center, 24-year-old Fall currently plays for France's PRO A Strasbourg side, and was on the radar of the French national team in recent years. He might feature for his native Senegal.
In the Ivoirian city of Abidjan, the Senegalese - who need a more win to return to the World Cup for the second time in a row - will go up against Mali, Nigeria and Rwanda from February 22-24.
