CAIRO (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 African Qualifiers) - With just under ten days to the start of the third window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 African Qualifiers, Egypt received a major boost with the arrivals of Assem Marei and Ahmed Khalaf.
The Pharaohs will host the Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, and Morocco in the second-leg of Group C of the African Qualifiers from June 29 to July 1.

Among the 15 pre-selected players is power-forward Assem Marei, who last featured for his country at 2015 FIBA Basketball.
At stake are three spots in the 12-team Second Round of the African Qualifiers, and Egypt, who currently trail Group leaders Angola thanks to a 2-1 mark accomplished in the first-leg, aim to move on, and compete for one of the five tickets on offer for African nations for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 in China.
